A new cuvee at Château Mont-Redon is a rare event. We tasted it, commented on it, rated it.
Few wine estates can, like Château Mont-Redon, boast the name of an emblematic sector of their appellation. This historic and vast property is an emblem of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. All oenophiles have admired this sea of rolled pebbles from which emerge old gnarled vines, pruned “en gobelet”, i.e. without trellising. This plateau of Mont-Redon, a vast dry area located in the centre of the appellation, a few kilometres north of the village of Châteauneuf, is dry and arid only on the surface.
