For twenty years, Frédéric Pourtalié has been enthroned at the top of the Larzac. After the Grange des Pères, Olivier Jullien and Alain Graillot, three stars of the French wine industry, this instinctive winegrower has traced his path on his own land. His Terrasses-du-Larzac is the wine with the finest tannins in Languedoc, a dream wine. We have gone through several verticals of this cuvée which has shown no weakness since 2001, a true performance.

2016 sees this cuvee with a little more density than some previous vintages, but still with the grace and smoothness that is Montcalmes’ signature. This wine embodies the notion of balance.The finish is complete, between muscle, silk and velvet. 18.5/20
