A vintage of challenges. Let’s summarise. Frost, rain. Everyone has in mind the historic frosts of 6, 7 and 8 April. Vegetation is ahead of schedule. Everywhere in France, the damage is significant. As is often the case, the climate in Bordeaux helped limit the damage. The “water mass” of the estuary played its role. But, not surprisingly, the frosty sectors froze. On average, 30% damage.
