A fine band of winegrowers united around one desire: to do better and to be sustainable. It has its place in our pages

by Alain Chameyrat, Louis-Victor Charvet, Thierry Desseauve, Guillaume Puzo, Nicolas de Rouyn

FRANCE is at the forefront of organic and biodynamic vineyards, regardless of what those who are always quick to point out the imaginary shortcomings of one or another may think. Year after year, the percentage of virtuous vineyard surfaces progresses. The most difficult vineyards – Champagne, Bordeaux – are doing so with great enthusiasm and in large numbers. All this is not new. Lalou Bize-Leroy made her herbal teas forty years ago, followed by Aubert de Villaine at the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, by Nicolas Joly at the Coulée de Serrant and his mother before him, and others for a long time. All this is very confidential. No green logo on the labels, the environmental commitment was a personal matter above all, not a business matter, not yet. We have already spoken a lot about these great scouts. We wanted to have an unusual kind of style show. Big estates and small ones, surprises and old discreet ones, frenetic researchers and sensible farmers, people we are proud to see giving a new light to our pages. N.R.
