The La Vigie group (Champagne Henriot) has been run by Gilles de Larouzière since 2015. The Henriot house, which is HVE certified and soon to be VDC certified, has set itself the goal of affirming the potential of its vineyards: pure and fleshy transparency of luminous Chardonnay wines from great terroirs. Alice Tétienne is continuing the work and continues to emphasise the environmental values of the terroirs, as well as research into a respectful vinification. The range tasted is typified by its material and its birthplace. Champagnes of time, the thread and fabric of each of the cuvées seem to be destined to merge. We can only mention our admiration for the level reached by the house.
- Champagne Henriot Brut Vintage 2012. Harmony of the whole, tasty and elegant character, finesse of the aromatic spectrum which stretches in the mouth with intensity and restores the grandiose spirit of the vintage. One cannot resist such pleasure. 96/100
- Champagne Henriot Blanc de Blancs NV. A heritage of the House, every care is taken with this Blanc de Blancs which bears witness to the style and history of Henriot Champagnes. The Chardonnays come mainly from the grand cru areas of the Côte des Blancs, 40% of reserve wines, including Cuve 38, are used to support, awaken and complexify this jewel which will remain in the cellar for 5 years. It’s a beautiful yellow gold that speaks volumes, the scents of skin, lemon pulp, flowers and garden herbs are rich and peaceful, the yellow stone fruits combine gracefully with butter and fresh almond, the smoky iodine is transporting. Underneath its fine, fatty texture, the palate offers an extraordinary chiseled chalkiness carried by a vaporous effervescence. It is great! A non-vintage blanc de blancs to be savoured as a model of its kind. 94/100
- Champagne Henriot Hemera. 2008.
