Château Lascombes

The MACSF mutual insurance group, which has owned this very important property since 2011, is doing its utmost to ensure its prestige and quality, under the efficient management of Dominique Befve. The wine, which is always made from very ripe grapes, stands out among its peers in the classification for its strong colour, its smoothness and its melting tannin. The same qualities are found in the second wine, Chevalier-de-lascombes. 

• Château Lascombes 2015. AOP Margaux. Powerful nose but a little compoté, very generous body, very great ripeness of the grape, perhaps a little too great, dense tannin. It should, as it often does, rebalance itself with time. 95/100
• Chevalier de Lascombes 2018. AOP Margaux. A nice second wine that “merlots” happily. A warm vinosity. 90/100
