Maison Champy

Domaine. [to know more about the wines highlighted in blue, click and watch a short reel]

Founded in 1720 by Edmé Champy, a master cooper, this wine merchant is one of the oldest in Burgundy. It now belongs to the Advini group, which had already revitalised Laroche in Chablis. It relies on a beautiful estate in Beaune and Pernand-Vergelesses and on the winemaking talent of Dimitri Bazas who has been working since 2000 to give the wines an exemplary style. The wines of the domain, cultivated and certified organically, often even biodynamically, have more personality than the purchased wines, which especially for the whites do not always meet the expectations. The reds are superior to them for the moment.

AOP Pernand Vergelesses, Clos de Bully 2020. Style similar to Burgundy with a little more firmness in the tannin. A serious wine, complete in its category, to be waited for four or five years.

AOP Pernand Vergelesses, Premier Cru Iles des Vergelesses 2018.
