Château Durfort-Vivens

Domaine. We make no secret of our admiration for the work that has gone into this Margaux estate over the last decade. Admirably led by Gonzague Lurton and his brilliant team, Durfort is without doubt the cru that has made the most spectacular progress in recent vintages, displaying a dazzling mastery and pragmatism of viticulture, a blend of innovation, science and good farming sense. On the 55 hectares of poor, deep gravel, biodynamically-grown grapes and intelligent vinification have produced wines that are incomparably complex and expressive of their terroir, with rare tactile sensations and a great deal of refinement. The cru regularly ranks in the top three of the appellation.
