Domaine. The Guigal family continues to expand its territory. After starting out in Côte Rôtie and then Condrieu, before expanding into Saint-Joseph and Hermitage, it acquired a vast estate with Château Nalys in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Last year, they followed suit with Château d’Aquéria, a historic property in Tavel and Lirac. But that hasn’t stopped them from further expanding their range in Côte Rôtie. Since 2019, they have the la-reynarde cuvée, which is vinified separately in the famous Fongeant sector. This cuvée will only be available to the general public in a few vintages, but will eventually join the famous trio of Mouline, Landonne and Turque. B+D
