Morlet Family Vineyards

Domaine.

Born into a family of winemakers in Champagne, Luc Morlet made wine in Burgundy, Bordeaux and the south of France before joining his wife Jodie in her native California in 1996. In 2006, Luc and Jodie began crafting wines, in limited quantities, from unique vineyards of Napa Valley and Sonoma County, under the Morlet Family Vineyards label, before setting up their own winery in St. Helena in 2010. Using century old principles and classic Burgundy and Bordeaux methods adapted to California’s natural conditions, the Morlets produce a range of single-vineyard wines that are harmonious in their intensity, complexity and refinement, while capable of ageing gracefully. The estate vines are located in St. Helena where cabernet sauvignon is the exclusive fruit source for the ‘Morlet Estate’ label, Knights Valley where the ‘Mon Chevalier’ vineyard is planted to red Bordeaux varietals, and most recently, Oakville where cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc are planted in the ‘Coeur de Vallée’ vineyard. In addition to these family holdings, Luc and Jodie direct the farming under long-term contracts in Fort Ross-Seaview, Russian River Valley, Bennett Valley and Dry Creek Valley and Napa Valley. B+D
