Alexandre de Malet Roquefort has taken over from his father at Château la Gaffelière. With as much talent as energy, he takes his cru to the best level.
After fourty years of regular tastings, one would imagine that I have been lucky enough to encounter many great bottles. Few have made as much of an impression as the extraordinary Gaffelière 1952 and 1953, a bit linked to my date of birth and really unique by their style and the incredible state of conservation.
