Chapter 24

The first contact with the infamous Oregon, now celebrated as the other country of pinot noir, is on the phone. Louis Michel Liger-Belair, the proud owner of mythical lands at Château de Vosne-Romanee, is a consultant for Mark Tarlov, a New York lawyer specialised in cinema who decided to create Chapter 24, a domain nested in the Dundee Hills, at the heart of the story that interests us. He explains in a simple manner that the success of pinot noir over there is a coincidence, that the volcanic soils have nothing in common with the Burgundy chalk.
